Let’s start off by saying that at first I was very skeptical about LifeCell Anti Wrinkle cream, being that it’s one of those “As seen on TV” products, which usually makes me run in the other direction! But, I was being bugged by all my friends to review it (I suspect because they didn’t want to plunk down their own money to find out if it works or not!)
So I decided to order some, and this is where the whole thing starting going downhill… First, if you take a quick look at their web site or watch any of their commercials and products ad spots you’ll notice that there’s no price mentioned or shown anywhere in their information!
This seems to be a growing trend with these “As seen on TV” type products, can anyone say “no!no! hair removal system”?
That being said, it look a long conversation with their operator on the phone (which at times was close to an argument) to finally find out that the initial price is $189 for the first month or so of the product! Then, upon further investigation, I discovered how their billing system really works. This is from their own web site:
“…every 60 days thereafter, you will be shipped a new 2 months supply of LifeCell for the low VIP price of $149.00 per tube…”
Ooh, the VIP price of only $149.00 PER TUBE! Anyway, enough about how terrible the company’s customer “service” (if you could call it that) experience is, let’s get to the review of the actual product.
With this test (as I always do), I followed their instructions for use to the letter, never missing a single application of the cream. The test was for eight weeks, and the first thing that I noticed was that the cream was very thickĀ and balmy, almost too hard to apply. The closest example of the consistency I could give you is to get a tube of Eucerin Moisturizing Creme. It’s terribly hard to get out of the tube and doesn’t spread well at all.
Needless to say, this made nightly applications of this a complete pain, and I’m also not to keen on trying to go to sleep with some thing that feels like cream cheese spread all over my face! But I stuck with it for the entire period of eight weeks and if I could give you my wrinkle reducing results in the form of a number, here it is… Nada, zip, zero, jack.
Eight weeks and virtually nothing whatsoever improved on my face. I mean exactly the same as it was previously. My advice to you is to stay well away from this “product”, and most likely any others that are being offered on TV for a while, especially if they won’t even tell you the price upfront. Remember this simple rule: No price = No sale!
