InStyler Rotating Iron Review

Here we go again. It’s “As seen on TV” time again. As my regular readers know, I’m not normally a fan of “As seen on TV” products. Why? Because most of them turn out to be complete junk that is hyped up for 30 seconds (to an hour in some cases). They work flawlessly in that infomercial that you watched at 3 in the morning, when you couldn’t sleep. However,  normally your disappointment begins the second you open the package.

There usually made quite poorly and are therefore flimsy and cheap, and almost never work as they were advertised. I speak not only for myself, but also for many of my close friends who’ve ordered tons of “As seen on TV” garbage over the years.

InStyler Rotating Iron

That being said, I still try to have an open mind when testing and reviewwing products for my readers. I don’t want to condemn every single product that’s ever been ‘seen on TV’, not only because that would be biased and unfair, but might also wrongly condemn a great product.

So, on to the test. We ordered five InStyler Rotating Irons, and gave them to five women to use for two weeks and let us know what they think. Initial results seemed quite positive, as one of our testers remarked that the first time she used it, her hair seemed less frizzy and much softer then normal.

Another reviewer commented that after using it, her hair actually stays straight, unlike most of the other over the counter straighteners that she’s used in the past. Then, the “As seen on TV” factor started to emerge…

All five women burned themselves (in one case quite bad) using this product. One of our testers burned herself from the rotating part of the styler. She burned the middle of her fore head, and now has a burn mark that she’s desperately waiting for to go away.

Every single reviewer acutally burned themself with this iron. One tester report that she burned herself  “Every single time that I tried to use it!”. Quick recommendation: Stay away from this porduct! We’re not even going to get into our usual review criteria like how well the product works, etc., as this product is not safe! Don’t buy it!
